Deadmau5 for Belfast
The dancefloor icon will play the Kings Hall in June next year…
After providing an unforgettable performance at London’s Earl Court last year, the electronic mastermind known as deadmau5 will be gracing the shores of Ireland with his formidable presence in 2012.
He was the first electronic act to sell-out the 17,000 capacity UK venue, so tickets for his new show are expected to go fast. The global star – who now performs with a Donnie Darko-esque mask over his head – has set his sights on the Kings Hall, Belfast on June 7.
The man behind the mask – one Joel Zimmerman – said that the first time he wore the mask, his audience were taken aback. “I remember putting it on and looking out of the visor and seeing everyone in utter bewilderment,” he says. “They were like, ‘Who is this guy? Is he for real?’ But they warmed up to it real fast. When the lights came on in the helmet and they started blinking to the beat, the place went crazy.”
If you want to be part of the ‘crazy’, tickets are £32.50 including booking fee. They go on sale on Friday December 9 at 9am sharp, and can be bought from [link]www.ticketmaster.ie[/link]
