David Keenan to feature on Hot Press's 'Rave On, Van Morrison' tonight
David Keenan's performance for Van Morrison's 75th birthday celebration goes live at 7pm this evening.
Capping off the first week of 'Rave On, Van Morrison', we're thrilled to present David Keenan as our next act – performing a cover of Van's Astral Weeks classic, 'Slim Slow Slider'.
Over the course of the YouTube event, celebrating Van Morrison's 75th birthday, you can expect even more renditions of the legendary artist's stunning songs from some of the most iconic names in the country – including President Michael D. Higgins with Bill Whelan, Hozier, Sinéad O'Connor, Gary Lightbody, Imelda May, Bob Geldof, Glen Hansard and Damien Dempsey, to name just a few.
One of the country’s most compelling young musicians, David Keenan released his full-length debut A Beginner’s Guide To Bravery through Rubyworks earlier this year. The Dundalk singer-songwriter enjoyed a landmark 2019 – the starry highlights of which included a stellar set on Electric Picnic’s Main Stage.
Each 'Rave On, Van Morrison' performance, including David Keenan's cover of 'Slim Slow Slider' tonight, premieres at 7pm Irish Standard Time every night on the Hot Press YouTube channel.
