DAVID BOWIE TRIBUTE: Celebrity fans play Brixton birthday gig
Gary Oldman, Simon Le Bon & Joe Elliott were among those raising glasses last night to David.
The Brixton Academy was the setting last night for the Gary Oldman-curated David Bowie birthday party, which included guest turns from La Roux, Tom Chaplin, Simon Le Bon, assorted members of Spandau Ballet, Mr. Hudson, Joe Elliott, the London Community Gospel Choir and Bowie band members Mike Garson, Earl Slick, Adrian Belew and lots, lots more.
The fan footage suggests a fabulous time was had by all…
The action switches tonight to Whelan's where David's musical director of long standing, Gerry Leonard, will be remembering his old pal and boss. Get there early for a screening of the new David Bowie in Dublin documentary.
