The actor took part in a Q&A session afterwards too...
Last night, the Mansion House in Dublin was swarming with '50s reporters, mobsters and old-school Hollywood glamour for JDIFF's much lauded and highly anticipated Cult Film Club.
The audience was treated to a screening of the 1997 neo-noir classic LA Confidential, complete with dramatic live re-enactments of the thrilling shoot-outs. In attendance were Aidan Power, David Coffey, Baz Ashmawy, Kathryn Thomas and rugby players Mike McCarthy and Mike Ross. But the guest of honour was none other than actor Danny DeVito, the wry narrator of the film who gives all the insights into the seedy and corrupt LA crime scene - though of course off the record, on the QT and very hush-hush.

DeVito was in fine form in the post-film Q&A, revealing that he'll be back in Dublin in 2014 to shoot an adaptation of the children's book The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle. He also performed a little foot striptease in order to take one of his trademark "trollfoot" pictures for Twitter - nice!
