Dan Mitchell of LN-CC starts new label
Having left London for Bali, new label Island of the Gods is expected to have an Indonesian sound.
Dan Mitchell, co-founder of the East London boutique and part-time record label LN-CC, has launched new label Island of the Gods, with the goal to "bridge the gap between the old world musicians and sounds of Indonesia, [and] fuse it with modern sounds."
The first record from Island of the Gods comes from Zsou, the duo comprised of Mo Morris and Merrick Adams, who have appeared on LN-CC releases in the past.
The duo have embraced the Island of Gods sound, recruiting Javanese singer Endah Laras to provide vocals for the title track of Admiral Byrd.
