Damien Dempsey allegedly saves drowning man
Eyewitness called South East Radio with the news this morning.
Damien Dempsey allegedly became an unlikely hero at what was otherwise a typically uneventful Strawberry Fest in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford.
Mark Ronan called South East Radio's Morningmix with the story of two young men who began to drown in the River Slaney. According to Ronan, a man who was later found to be Damien Dempsey climbed into the river with a blanket and pulled one of the men to shore. Afterwards he calmly walked off.
