Crystal Castles to release first album with out Alice Glass this Spring
Listen to single ‘Decide’ which will feature on their forthcoming LP
Founding member of Crystal Castles, Ethan Kath, has confirmed that the electronic ensemble will release their first album since singer Alice Glass left last year.
Their highly anticipated fourth LP is slated for release this Spring. This will be the Canadian group’s first record featuring new vocalist Edith Frances while Kath will act as the main songwriter and producer.
Anyone who saw Crystal Castles perform at Electric Picnic 2012 bore witness to an amazingly raw performance with Alice Glass tearing around the stage in a chaotic frenzy of sound. The singer being the huge presence in the band’s experimental music that she was, many were left wondering how the group would cope in her absence. However Kath has made good on his promise to deliver an album in her wake and fans are on tenterhooks to see how it fares.
The unnamed LP is set to include the songs ‘Frail’ and ‘Decide’, both of which were released last year.
Check out ‘Decide’ below for a taster of what we can expect from Crystal Castles in the absence of Alice Glass.
