Couple names their twins after members of the Wu-Tang Clan
Two children will now go through their lives with the names Raekwon and Ghostface.
Raekwon recently revealed through his Instagram that a couple has chosen to name their children after himself and rap compadre Ghostface Killah.
"This is live, family named their twins Raekwon & ghostface!!! #wu4thebabies" was Raekwon's caption for the photo.
Raekwon's actual name is Corey, while Ghostface's mother named him Dennis. The family who chose the name, whose last name is Lieberman, have given no comment.
While this may just be another page in the history of white people's sometimes cringeworthy relationship with rap music, this is notable given the fact that this is a cultural appropriation of a cultural appropriation. Both Raekwon and Ghostface are names taken from Kung-Fu movies.
In actual Wu-Tang related news, Raekwon and RZA have settled their disputes and Raekwon has agreed to finish recording his verses for A Better Tomorrow, giving hope that the album will see the light of day sometime this year.
Check out the artists that these kids have to live up to below.
