Alice Glass announced yesterday that she was leaving, but their manager suggests there will be "twists and turns ahead".
On Wednesday, Alice Glass appeared to unequivocally herald the end of Crystal Castles, as she decided to depart and go solo.
Today, however, the band's manager has told NME: "There will be twists and turns ahead for Crystal Castles, I wouldn't bury the dead just yet!"
Crystal Castles is (was?) an acclaimed duo comprising Glass and Ethan Kath, formed in Toronto a decade ago and releasing three albums.
Yesterday, Glass issued this statement online:
"I am leaving Crystal Castles. My art and my self-expression in any form has always been an attempt towards sincerity, honesty, and empathy for others. For a multitude of reasons both professional and personal I no longer feel that this is possible within CC. Although this is the end of the band, I hope my fans will embrace me as a solo artist in the same way they have embraced Crystal Castles."
