Comedian and actor Rik Mayall passes away

Rik Mayall's agent has confirmed that the comedian passed away on Monday morning.

He was best know for his roles in The Young Ones, The New Statesman and his appearances on Blackadder.

Mayall is survived by his wife Barbara Robbin and his three children Rosie, 28, Sidney, 26, and Bonnie, 19.
