Imelda May's Voices of Ireland will air on Tuesday, December 14.
Irish singer Imelda May will present Voices of Ireland, a two-part television series exploring and celebrating the impact of Ireland's legendary artists.
May will visit current Irish musicians, actors and writers like Stephen Rea, Colm Tóibín, Emmet Kirwan, Sharon Shannon, Loah and Pillow Queens to recreate the works of classic Irish writers. The works of Yeats, Beckett, Wilde and more will be presented in intimate performances.
"I was really excited to get involved with this project and showcase the breadth of talent Ireland has offered the world," said May of Voices of Ireland. "Travelling around this small country and showcasing the profound impact Irish artists have had across the globe has been a wonderful experience."
Produced by Red Shoe Productions and Tourism Ireland and directed by Maggie Breathnach, the series will air on Sky Arts and NOW on Tuesday, December 14.
