Codes to play Academy and Oxegen
Dublin band Codes have announced their biggest shows to date, Oxegen and the Academy this July.
Indie-electronic foursome Codes are reaching new heights. The Dublin band have announced their biggest gigs to date. They’ll be playing the Academy on July 5 before setting off to Punchestown to play a coveted evening spot at Oxegen on July 5 on the IMRO Sound Stage.
Codes are hitting the big time after the success of their third single to make it into the charts, “This is Goodbye.” It’s been all go for the group of late as they have been working with Manic Street Preachers producer, Greg Hayer on their album in Cardiff’s Stir Studios. The album is pencilled for a Spring ’09 release.
The band are also set for bright things across the pond as their current lable Interior Records, an Irish offspring of London’s Fierce Panda have been biggin’ them up in the UK. This has secured a lot of interest over there and the group have announced UK dates for this summer which include a headline show in London’s 229 on July 23 the Camden Barfly on July 25.
Codes will also take part in Phantom 105.2’s ‘Longest Day’ gig in the Button Factory on June 21.
