CMAT, Lankum and Jazzy score nominations for Ivor Novello Awards

The awards ceremony takes place in London next month

The nominations for the The Ivors 2024 have been announced – with acclaimed Irish acts Lankum, CMAT and Jazzy all scoring spots in prestigious categories.

Lankum and CMAT are both nominated in the Best Album category, for False Lankum and Crazymad, For Me, respectively. They're in the running against Raye's My 21st Century Blues, Sampha's Lahai, and Yussef Dayes' Black Classical Music.

Jazzy, meanwhile, has secured a spot among the nominees for Most Performed Work, for her hit single 'Giving Me'. The track, produced and written with Dublin duo Belters Only, made Jazzy the first Irish female artist to go No.1 on the Irish Singles Chart in 14 years. It also reached the Top 3 in the UK.

Other nominees in her category include Harry Styles with 'As It Was', PinkPantheress and Ice Spice with 'Boy's a Liar Pt. 2', Dave and Central Cee with 'Sprinter', and Kenya Grace with 'Strangers'.

The winners will be revealed at the awards ceremony, taking place at Grosvenor House in London on Thursday, May 23.

The Ivor Novello Awards, first presented in 1956, recognise the best in UK and Irish songwriting and screen composing.

As we previously reported, Bruce Springsteen is set to become the first ever international songwriter to become a Fellow of the Academy, the highest honour the Ivors Academy bestows.
