Civil Wars for The Academy

Following on from their Sugar Club debut earlier in the year, The Civil Wars return for another Dublin show in The Academy on March 14, tickets for which are €15.15 and go on sale this Friday.

The name suggests a balls to the wall punk outfit, but the Civvies – as possibly only we call them – couldn’t be any more bare-bones delicate or haunting. Comprising of California-to-Nashville transplant Joy Williams and her Alabaman partner John Paul White, the duo have benefited enormously from their signature song, ‘Poison & Wine’, gracing the Grey’s Anatomy soundtrack and Taylor Swift declaring herself a major fan.
