Brendan Graham in David Foster Collaboration
Irish writer’s song recorded by classical crossover star Nathan Pacheco
Irish songwriter Brendan Graham has been collaborating with the multi-Grammy Award winning writer and producer David Foster – who co-produced The Corrs’ debut album, among a lengthy list of major international successes that includes records by Michael Bublé, Celine Dion, Rod Stewart, Andrea Bocelli, Whitney Houston, Jennifer Lopez and Westlife.
The result is ‘Stare Con Te (Once Upon Love)’, for which Graham wrote the original English lyrics, with Foster and William Joseph creating the music. The song was translated into Italian by Davide Esposito. Recorded by Nathan Pacheco, it was released on Valentine’s Day in the US, on the US album Nathan Pacheco II.
Born in Virginia, of Brazilian descent, Pacheco is an emerging classical crossover star, who made his initial breakthrough with the 2009 tour, Yanni’s Voices. He is signed to the Disney Pearl Series label.
Meanwhile, Graham’s remarkable success story with ‘You Raise Me Up’ continues unabated. The song was performed by Hayley Westerna at the opening ceremony of the Cricket World Cup in New Zealand recently - adding to the Irish interest in a tournament at which the Irish team has so far been producing the goods on the field.
