Berry will be performing In Hope Our Stars Align with the Crash Ensemble at the National Concert Hall this Saturday
Singer-songwriter Bren Berry will perform In Hope Our Stars Align live for the first time with the Crash Ensemble at Dublin's National Concert Hall this Saturday, June 14.
His debut solo album comes 24 years after the guitarist's former band Revelino broke up.
After being away from music for many years, inspiration struck during the Covid-19 pandemic, and Berry started writing his first song, 'Black Satellite'.
Reflecting on the challenging process, the singer said he "really struggled to write anything complete” in an earlier Hot Press interview.
“I sat in my shed, got a piece of music going, and felt in a good place. And then something told me to drop the register of my voice – and everything fell into place for me.
"It was an amazing moment and it all just flowed from there,” he remembered.

The latest single of the LP, 'We Have It All' came out on June 4 and is a love letter to Berry's family.
Although Berry was not sure if he would ever perform his solo songs live, the singer said, "The chance to perform with The Crash Ensemble at The National Concert Hall is a pinch-me moment and a huge privilege."
The Saturday gig will also be the first time the Dublin native performs live with other musicians since Revelino's breakup 24 years ago.
