Boy Scouts announce new album, Wayfinder and share new song
Boy Scouts is back with a brand-new album, set to be released later this year.
Boy Scouts, AKA Taylor Vick, has announced her new album, Wayfinder, due for release on October 1 via Anti Records.
The new album was recorded at Unknown studios in Anacortes, Washington and is set to feature collaborations from Jay Som, AKA Melina Duterte, and Vick's brother Travis.
Vick also released a music video for one of the new album's tracks, 'That's Life Honey'.
“This song is about trying to make light of a shitty situation,” Vick said in a statement.
“Having a circumstance that sucks, like wanting to go to therapy but you can't afford it, and fantasising about a world where you could get a chip implanted, or have some surgery that rewires your brain and resolves you from whatever problems you have. This song is mostly my attempt at writing a tragicomedy, combined with true experiences of figuring out how to open up to people.”
The video sees the artist alone on a boat in the middle of the ocean. She's writing and performing the song as the video goes along – working through the parts as she calmly processes being lost at sea.
The artist also released the track list for the new record.
1 'I Get High'
2 'Lighter'
3 'A Lot to Ask'
4 'That’s Life Honey'
5 'Not Today'
6 'Charlotte'
7 'The Floor'
8 'Big Fan'
9 'Didn’t I'
10 'Model Homes'
