BOLD LOVE announce debut EP Dancing & Loving and releases lead single
'Feel You Close' is out now on all platforms.
Dublin alternative rock band BOLD LOVE have announced the release of their debut EP Dancing & Loving via Canvas Music on October 3, with single 'Feel You Close' and its music video out now.
The announcement came ahead of their upcoming performances at Latitude Festival this weekend and All Together Now on August 2. BOLD LOVE appeared on Hot Press's Hot for 2025 issue in January, following their recent UK tour supporting Cork band Cliffords.
'Feel You Close’ follows the release of the Irish heritage homage track ‘I’m Home ’ in May and the emotion-driven love song ‘Talking & Drifting’ in March. All the tracks were produced by Richie Kennedy (of Interpol and White Lies credits) and are their first releases under their new label Canvas Music.
'Feel You Close' takes on issues of grief and moving on, according to lead vocalist and songwriter Cian Ó Maonlaí.
"I wanted to describe that moment when someone shares bad news," Ó Maonlaí said.
"I have vivid memories of that feeling, the room losing its colour and becoming suffocating, the air thickening and before a word is spoken, the atmosphere in the room tells you something has happened. I then wanted the song to comment on how we carry the people we've lost with us all the time. We hold on to them through our likeness. The little things that remind others of them."
