Bob Dylan's triple CD of covers enters Irish Charts at No. 5

The answer to the question of why the Nobel Prize winner chose to do a triple album of classic American standards is the same as the answer to the question of why he's been doing his Never-Ending tour for nigh-on 30 years nearly thirty years now: because he's Bob Dylan.

Including the likes of 'Stormy Weather and 'Once Upon A Time', Bob Dylan said in a statement: "I am finding these great songs to be a tremendous source of inspiration that has led me to one of my most satisfying periods in the studio. I've hit upon new ways to uncover and interpret these songs that are right in line with the best recordings of my own songs, and my band and I really seemed to hit our stride on every level with Triplicate."

Entering a creative period of inspiration at the age of 75 is no easy feat, but we're happy to see Bob still on the go.

Elsewhere in the charts, Mastodon enter in at No. 7 with this new album Emperor of Sand, while Jamiroquai's Automaton goes to No. 13.
