This is a typically rollicking, country-tinged blues number from one of the more intriguing young acts on the Brit indie scene.
Nostalgia is turning out to be something of a theme to this week’s singles page, as this is yet another bleak character-study of a middle-aged, middle-management type burned out by over-work and social dysfunction. One wonders whether or not all this remembrance of things past is not just a little questionable, for as Hermann Hesse once observed, “Even a child has his own worries and concerns.” Still, this is a typically rollicking, country-tinged blues number from one of the more intriguing young acts on the Brit indie scene.
