Bell X1 and Jape this December
The two acts will be playing six dates around the country.
It’s two cracking Irish acts for the price of one as Bell X1 embark on a pre-Christmas tour in the lovely company of Jape.
Catch them together in The Forum, Waterford (December 1); Big Top, Limerick (2); Black Box, Galway (3); Savoy, Cork (10); Nerve Centre, Derry (15); and Mandela Hall, Belfast (16).
The Bellies, who are about to participate alongside Laurie Anderson, Doveman, Glen Hansard, Joseph O’Connor, Colum McCann and Aaron and Bryce Dessner in Other Voices NYC, also have a new single, ‘Sugar High’, out on November 25.
“Ireland is, in ways, a microcosm or concentrated dose of the madness that has us all sloshing around in the shit,” Paul Noonan reflects. “The song began as a debauched HR Giger vision of the Fianna Fáil tent at the Galway Races, with all the boys out of their minds, riding each other... on a Sugar High.”
