Beatles Day to be celebrated at the Workman's Club, Dublin this November
The special event will take place on Saturday 4th November at the Workman's Club in Dublin.
Confirmed to perform a two set show are '60s tribute band the Rockits, who perform at the legendary Liverpool venue, the Cavern Club every weekend.
The Rockits' first set will be a selection of songs from the Beatles, while the second will be "Hits of the '60s", which will include Rolling Stones, Elvis, The Kinks, The Small Faces and Monkees covers, among many others.
There will also be a performance of the BBC Radio 2 play John Lennon's Last Day, written by Irish playwright and director of the Dublin Beatles Festival, Stephen Kennedy, and performed by Padraig McGinley.
In addition, there will be a competition held to find the biggest Beatles fan in Ireland, titled 'The Beatle Brain of Ireland'.
Tickets are currently on sale at eventbrite.ie.
John Lennon's Last Day starts at 2.00pm and costs €15
The Beatle Brain of Ireland will kick off at 3.30pm with an entry cost of €5.
The Rockits show will begin at 8.00pm and tickets are €20.
