The Clash have announced the release of The World According to The Clash, a compilation featuring 11 of their most celebrated tracks, due out on November 13 via Sony Music.
Originally distributed in 1982 to US-only radio stations, The World According to The Clash has never previously been made publically available.
It brings together some of their most influential songs such as Should I Stay or Should I Go’, ‘Rock the Casbah’, ‘London Calling’, ‘Clampdown’, ‘Train in Vain (Stand by Me)’, ‘Lost in the Supermarket’, ‘The Guns of Brixton’ and more.
The release comes during a year of celebration for The Clash – in July, the band celebrated 50 years since their first-ever gig with a fan event held in Sheffield; the city in which this gig took place in 1976.
Widely considered one of the most influential rock bands in history, The Clash released their classic LP London Calling in 1979 and is widely regarded as one of the best albums of its decade.
