Baz Luhrmann's music-driven drama for Netflix

The director of Moulin Rouge and The Great Gatsby, Baz Luhrmann, is to premiere a band new drama on Netflix, due to arrive next year.
The Get Down will be a music-driven show based in New York City in the 1970s, and will consist of 13 one-hour episodes. Luhrmann's musical chops have been demonstrated throughout his career - from the stunning soundtracks he's curated to the unimaginable achievement of making Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman bearable - so we're counting on all the stops to be pulled out for this project too.
