Bands wanted for JD Set
The search is on for the hotshot acts who’ll get to play high profile Irish gigs as part of this year’s JD Set.
Kicking off on Friday April 27 in Dublin’s Crawdaddy, the initiative will also be taking in Cork, Limerick, Galway, Wexford, Dundalk and Wicklow.
All of those selected will be eligible for the ‘Jack Daniel’s Hardest Working Band’ award, which carries a grand prize of two days recording time, the production of 1,000 CD singles, management consultation and a place on the next First Music Contact Music From Ireland sampler.
“The JD Set is all about supporting aspiring Irish bands – giving them an oportunity to gain valuable experience performing in Ireland’s top venues,” says Jens Gloeckner of Jack Daniel’s Ireland. “This year we believe we’re offering the best prize package ever, a package that will set any band on the right road to becoming Ireland’s rock stars of the future.”
If that’s got you all eager with anticpation, dispatch a demo pronto to The JD Set, P.O. Box 5466, Dublin 4.
