Arctic Monkeys record new album at wedding venue
The follow-up to Tranquillity Base Hotel + Casino could be coming soon.
Indie legends Arctic Monkeys have apparently recorded new music at a hotel and wedding venue called The Butley Priory in Suffolk, according to a now-deleted blog post that the venue had on their website.
The converted 14th Century monastery quickly deleted the post that had been up since July, after fans and news outlets found the link to the Sheffield band.
"We’ve had a band staying with us for the last month recording an album," the post on the venue's website began.
"Musicians love the acoustics in the Great Hall and Drawing Room, with their huge vaulted ceilings. Being serenaded while watering and weeding the garden, listening to the double bass, drums and piano wafting out of the open double doors, was pretty nice. Thank you, Arctic Monkeys."

The new record will be the band's first album since 2018's Tranquillity Base Hotel & Casino, and their first release since last year's live album, Live at the Royal Albert Hall.
Meanwhile, drummer Matt Helders recently found the time to play music with 11-year-old child prodigy Nandi Bushell.
He jammed with her on three Arctic Monkeys classics, including 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor'.
