Anti-Pop Consortium & Digable Planets announce Irish shows
The alt. New York rap invasion takes place next month.
Hip hop experimentalists the Anti-Pop Consortium arrive in next month for a brace of shows in Whelan’s, Dublin (April 10) and Cyprus Avenue, Cork (11).
They come armed with a new album, Fluorescent Black, which is a yo, ho, bitch and nigga-free zone.
Also Ireland-bound in April as part of their Butterflyndoodlebugtour are those other alt. NYC rappers Digable Planets. You can catch them in Crawdaddy (23) for €22. Formed in 1992, the group went their separate ways three years later, but are now hitting the comeback trail and working on a proper follow-up to their classic Blowout Comb album.
