Accident forces Lizzy to cancel Punchestown
Their spot on the AC/DC bill will be taken by The Blizzards.
Drummer Tommy Aldridge breaking his collarbone over the weekend in a cycling accident has forced Thin Lizzy to pull their AC/DC support slot at Punchestown.
“We’ve been looking forward to touring with AC/DC for the past few months so this is a terrible blow to us,” Lizzy’s Scott Gorham rues. “But accidents happen and I hope our fans will understand and we look forward to playing Ireland later in the year when Tommy recovers."
Their spot on the bill will be taken by The Blizzards who played an absolute blinder last weekend at Slane, and are promising to turn it up to ‘11’ to keep all the metallers happy.
Sunday’s schedule is now:
5pm The Answer
6.30pm The Blizzards
8.30pm AC/DC
