ABBA reunite under Simon Fuller
'Dancing Queen' stars re-emerge to experiment with the 21st century digital world
After a split in 1982, the Swedish pop quartet are getting back together for an exciting- but secretive - creative project. Television producer and artist manager, Simon Fuller, has not yet released the details of his vision for the band, but he intends to bring an authentic ABBA experience to new generations.
Technology has exploded since the band last worked together, so the possibilities with virtual reality play an integral part in Fuller's creative vision. The English entrepreneur says that over the last few years he has been investing in VR technologies and creating 'digital humans.'
The original four members (Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad) will unite on what has been called a "groundbreaking venture that will utilise the very latest in digital and virtual reality technology." But the world will have to wait until 2017 to discover what exactly ABBA and Fuller have in store.
