The Mary Wallopers announce European tour

The Mary Wallopers have announced their European tour, beginning in January 2027.

The band will be performing in Antwerp, Amsterdam, Nijmegen, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Aarhus, Berlin, Warsaw, Krakow, Prague, Munich, Zurich, and Vienna.

Their upcoming album, Paddywhackery, will be released on September 18. The folk band's latest single 'The Big Mixer' was released on September 3, along with a music video.

The Mary Wallopers performed at Katie Taylor's final match in Croke Park last Saturday. They also performed at Electric Picnic in August. The band have an upcoming headline show in the 3Arena on Thursday, December 10.

In June the band were part of a campaign to stop the development of a housing complex on the historic site of Cú Chulainn's Castle, also known as Dún Dealgan, in Dundalk. The housing complex was approved for development by Louth County Council.

As part of the album release, the band announced a series of guerilla shows around Ireland on September 15,16,17, and 18. The location of the show will be revealed on the day.

The band was originally formed by brothers Charles and Andrew Hendy, with friend Sean McKenna, who departed the band in 2025 to focus on his own projects. The Mary Wallopers have since expanded into a six-piece band. They are known for their energetic live performances.
