4fm announces start-up team
The new multiple-city station launches on Friday.
Ireland’s newest radio station, 4FM, commences broadcasting on Friday February 27.
Covering counties Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Clare, the station “will play the widest selection of music on the radio – from classic and mainstream songs to a specialist portfolio including jazz, soul, rock ‘n’ roll, standards, music from the movies and musicals, as well as Motown, MOR and soft ballads.”
Their weekday prime time line-up is:
6am Gareth O’Callaghan
9am Jimmy Greeley
12noon Damien Kiberd
2pm Brian McColl
5pm Tom McGurk
7pm Gerry Stevens
The late night and weekend crew includes such familiar names as David Heffernan, Karl Tsigdinos, Dave Harvey, Mark Byrne and Derek Davis.
