Wednesday season 2 wraps filming in Ireland
Netflix has revealed the first photo of Jenna Ortega as Wednesday in the highly anticipated second season.
The filming of Wednesday season 2 starring Jenna Ortega, Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones has wrapped up after filming in Wicklow's Ashford Studios since the spring.
Director Tim Burton has put a modern twist on the classic character as it follows Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) as she goes through high school at the supernatural Nevermore Academy.
“This season, Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries, and old adversaries, propelling her headlong into another year at Nevermore,” showrunners and executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar told Netflix.
Lady Gaga is also set to appear in the new season of Wednesday. While little has been revealed of her upcoming role, the singer's song 'Bloody Mary' went viral after it was featured in edits of Wednesday's famous dance scene.

The series is inspired by from the iconic 1964 The Addams Family television series, as well as The Addams Family movies starring Christina Ricci as Wednesday. Season 1 of Wednesday received two golden globe nominations as well as earring 4 Emmys.
Netflix has revealed the first photo of the actress in the highly anticipated second season.
Jenna Ortega has been spotted around Dublin throughout the duration of filming, attending Chappell Roan’s concert in the 3Olympia, The Ruby Sessions in Doyle's Pub and Ireland vs The All Blacks in the Aviva at the beginning of November.
