Steve Coogan joins cast of The White Lotus
The forthcoming season is scheduled to begin filming in the spring, relocating to France after having filmed in Hawaii, Sicily, and Thailand.
Steve Coogan will join the cast of the upcoming fourth season of The White Lotus.
It is still unknown who the English actor will portray.
Joining Coogan in the forthcoming episodes are Alexander Ludwig, Aj Michalka, and the Australian newcomer Caleb Jonte Edwards.
The show follows a fictional luxury global resort hotel chain, depicting the stories of the guests and staff of the different branches.
Each season introduces a new set of characters, but some actors, such as Jennifer Coolidge, Natasha Rothwell, and Jon Gries, have appeared in more than one.
Acclaimed by critics, the show has won 16 Prime Time Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology series, and two Golden Globes.
Coolidge won 2 Primetime Emmys and a Golden Globe for her performance, and Murray Bartlett received an Emmy for his role in the first season.
Mike White won three Emmys for his writing, directing and producing of the show.
Two-time Oscar nominee Steve Coogan recently played Mick McCarthy in Saipan.
He starred alongside Éanna Hardwicke, who portrayed Roy Keane.
The film depicts the heated disagreement between the captain of the Irish national football team, Roy Keane and the team's manager, Mick McCarthy, which led to Keane forfeiting his place in the squad.
Saipan grossed over €500k in its first week.
