Official Jeff Buckley biopic on the way
“This will be the only official dramatisation of Jeff’s story which I can promise his fans will be true to him and to his legacy," Buckley's mother, Mary Guibert, revealed in a statement.
A new Jeff Buckley biopic, entitled Everybody Here Wants You, is set to begin filming later this year – with full support from the late singer-songwriter's estate and access to his music. Buckley's mother, Mary Guibert, is set to co-produce the film, alongside Alison Raykovich, the manager of his estate and the VP of Jeff Buckley Music.
According to Variety, Everybody Here Wants You will be released by Culmination Productions, with producer Orian Williams making his directorial debut. Williams previously produced the Morrissey biopic England Is Mine, as well as the award-winning Ian Curtis biopic Control.
The film stars American singer-songwriter and actor Reeve Carney – best known for originating the titular role in Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark on Broadway. He also played Dorian Gray in the Penny Dreadful series, and is set to appear in Ridley Scott's upcoming film Gucci, starring Lady Gaga.

“This will be the only official dramatisation of Jeff’s story which I can promise his fans will be true to him and to his legacy," Mary Guibert revealed in a statement about the film. "Thankfully, my determination to assemble all the right participants, no matter how long it took, is about to culminate in the best way possible."
Jeff Buckley died in 1997, aged 30, after releasing one studio album, the acclaimed Grace. His father was iconic singer-songwriter Tim Buckley, who died in 1975, aged 28.
