See the trailer below.
Lee Cronin’s supernatural horror film The Mummy will be released in Ireland on April 17, 2026, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
The film stars Jack Reynor know for his roles in Sing Street, Midsommar and What Richard Did. The film also features Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace, and Verónica Falcón and was produced by Jason Blum, James Wan, and John Keville. This film will be the third feature film by the Wicked/Good production company, operated by Cronin.
The Mummy series has a long history of reinvention, from the Universal monster films of the '30s and '50s to Stephen Sommers' more recent action-adventure trilogy, starring Brendan Fraser. The upcoming film, reimagined by the Irish filmmaker behind Evil Dead Rise and Ghost Train is said to put a greater emphasis on gore and horror.
“This movie is coming from a very different place, and it's not even a reinvention of mummy lore; it's looking into darker places and doing something different with what we think we might already know” Cronin said in an interview with IGN.
Cronin will also join Maura Tierney and Domhnall Gleeson in being honored with an Oscar Wild Award at the Ebell of Los Angeles on March 12.
