Avengers: Doomsday trailer released
The film will hit Irish cinemas on December 18.
The first full trailer for Avengers: Doomsday has been released online, featuring multiple returning characters from various Marvel movies.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film, according to an official synopsis, “follows beloved heroes from three distinct universes as they’re set on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.”
“Something’s coming, something we may not be able to deter,” is the first line spoken in the trailer.
The film features Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Fantastic Four’s Pedro Pascal, X-Men’s Patrick Stewart, Black Panther’s Letitia Wright and Thunderbolts’ Florence Pugh, among others.
Marvel releases from the last few years include Thunderbolts (2025), Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025) and Captain America: Brave New World (2024). These films have seen financial disappointment, failing to clear the high margins needed to generate significant profit against massive budgets.
Still, in 2019, Avengers: Endgame became one of the highest-grossing films of all time, earning a box office total of almost $2.8 billion (€2.5 billion).
“Doom does not knock,” wrote Robert Downey Jr. on Instagram, teasing the film.
Avengers: Doomsday will hit cinemas on December 18.
