Warner Bros release official trailer for Clayface
The DC Studios' film will be in cinemas on October 23.
Warner Bros. have released a new trailer for DC Studios' upcoming horror thriller Clayface, offering a fresh look at the cult-favourite Batman villain, ahead of the film's release on October 23.
Directed by James Watkins (Speak No Evil, The Woman in Black), the film stars Tom Rhys Harries as Matt Hagen, a rising Hollywood actor whose life is shattered after a brutal attack leaves him horribly disfigured. Desperate to restore his appearance, Hagen undergoes an experimental treatment that initially transforms him back to his former self, before sending him into a terrifying psychological and physical descent.
The latest trailer leans heavily into the film's body horror influences, showcasing Hagen's increasingly unstable grip on reality as his shape-shifting abilities spiral out of control.
Alongside Harries, the cast includes Naomi Ackie, David Dencik and Eddie Marsan.
Clayface is directed by Watkins from a screenplay by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini, based on a story by Flanagan. Flanagan is known for his horror work, such as The Haunting of Hill House and Absentia.
Best known as one of Batman's most enduring adversaries, Clayface has appeared in DC Comics since 1940 in several incarnations.
Clayface will be released in cinemas across Ireland and the UK on October 23.
