Mica Levi shares new soundtrack for A24's 'Zola'
Mica Levi has released their soundtrack for A24's 'Zola' film, which was based on an incredible viral Twitter thread.
Following the releases of studio albums Blue Alibi and Ruff Dog in 2020 and 2021 respectively, Mica Levi have shared their soundtrack for Zola.
Directed by Janicza Bravo, A24's latest film Zola tells a story that was originally recounted on Twitter in a viral thread. In the film, A'Ziah "Zola" King, played by Taylour Paige, travels to Florida with Stefani, played by Riley Keough, for a wild weekend after meeting one another in Detroit.
This is not the first soundtrack Levi has released. In 2016, they wrote the score for Jackie. In addition to their soundtracks and solo music, Levi is a member of Good Sad Happy Bad, which also includes Raisa Khan, Mark Pell, and CJ Calderwood. The group will perform at Pitchfork Music Festival London in mid-November.
