Maura Tierney announced as honouree for Oscar Wilde Awards, with performance by Dave Lofts
The event will take place on March 12, 2026 in Los Angeles.
Golden Globe Award winning actor Maura Tierney has been announced as an honouree for the Oscar Wilde Awards, set for March 12, 2026 in Los Angeles, with Irish singer
Dave Lofts to perform at the event.
Next year's awards will mark the 20th anniversary of the US-Ireland Alliance event.
Boston-born Irish American Tierney has appeared in numerous roles throughout film, television, and theatre.
Her work on The Affair won the actor a Golden Globe, and an Emmy and Critics Choice Television Award nomination.
Recently, she starred in Twisters, the sequel to the 1996 film Twister, which saw her work alongside Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Anthony Ramos.
Tierney has also appeared in The Iron Claw, The Report and Beautiful Boy.
She acted in eight season of ER, earning the actor Emmy nomination.
Tierney made her Broadway debut in 2013, starring in Lucky Guy alongside Tom Hanks.
“We look forward to honouring Maura this year," said US-Ireland Alliance president Trina Vargo.
"She has an incredible and enviable career in film, television, and theatre. She has always been proud of her Irish heritage and starred in Yasmina Reza’s award-winning God of Carnage at the prestigious Gate Theatre in Dublin.”
Wexford-base artist Lofts, known for his deeply personal original tracks, is set to perform at the awards.
His cover versions of Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill' and Sam Fender's 'Seventeen Going Under' have earned him millions of streams.
He has supported acts including Damien Dempsey, Gavin James, The High Kings, Wolf Alice, Picture This, Kingfishr, Amble and The Wolfe Tones.
"We are delighted to bring attention to the amazing artistic talent of artists from Oscar winners to those just getting their start. We know that creative collaborations have been formed from this event and several artists have gotten agents, contracts, and other opportunities as a result," said Trina Vargo, founder and president of the US-Ireland Alliance.
