Kylie Minogue and Quentin Tarantino to star in Tangled Up in Blue
The film also stars Jason Isaacs, Allison Williams, Sofia Boutella, and Wu-Tang Clan's RZA.
Kylie Minogue is starring alongside Quentin Tarantino in Jamie Adams' new film, Tangled Up in Blue.
The film - named after Bob Dylan's song of the same name from his 1975 album Blood on the Tracks - began filming over the weekend. Minogue and Tarantino were spotted at a restaurant in the Welsh town of Porthcawl, where Adams lives.
Adams has gained a reputation for naming his films after famous songs, such as Bittersweet Symphony (after The Verve) and Love Spreads (after The Stone Roses). His most recent film, Only What We Carry, also features Tarantino with Simon Pegg, Charlotte Gainsbourg and singer Lizzy McAlpine.
In an interview with Variety, Adams shared that he was surprised Tarantino accepted the role after he had reached out and sent a letter.
"I sent him the story outline and a letter; I was just very honest about believing in him as an actor," he said.
"Improvisation, the way I use it, is about being present and reacting organically. He's one of the greatest conversational storytellers. I thought that would be incredible in character.
"I didn't think I'd hear back. But two weeks later, on a Sunday, his agent emailed saying Quentin was intrigued and wanted a Zoom."
Tarantino is currently prepping a new play called The Popinjay Cavalier, which is due to premiere in London's West End next year.
Minogue started her career as an actress on Australian television in the late 1970s, before launching her music career in 1987.
Last month, she revealed in her Netflix documentary series Kylie that she was diagnosed with cancer for a second time in 2021, which followed her first diagnosis in 2005.
