Jack Reynor added to Citadel season 2 cast
Joe Russo is set to direct the new season, in addition to executive producing.
Amazon Prime Video spy drama Citadel has announced the addition of Jack Reynor to the cast of season 2.
The new season will be going into production later this year, but for now, his character and plot details for the series are unknown.
Reynor will appear alongside returning series leads Richard Madden and Priyanka-Chopra Jonas, as well as Stanley Tucci.
This marks his third appearance in a Prime Video series, following his performance in the streamer’s adaptation of the William Gibson novel The Peripheral and appearance in an episode of Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams.
The actor has won an Irish Film and Television Academy award for his depiction of Richard Karlsen in Lenny Abrahamson's feature What Richard Did, as well as starring in Sing Street, Midsommar and Transformers: Age of Extinction.
Reynor also wrote and directed the short film Bainne starring Will Poulter, which won the best first short drama award at the Galway Film Festival.
Citadel originally debuted in April 2023. The series is meant to serve as the first of many shows set in different countries that will all be connected via plot and characters.
An Italian series, Citadel: Diana, is due to be released in 2024, while the Indian series Citadel: Honey Bunny is currently in the works.
Jack Reynor will be in the upcoming Netflix limited series The Perfect Couple as well as the Paramount+ series Strange Angel.
