The Amazon Prime Irish original LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland's cast has been announced
Hosted by Graham Norton, the 6-part Amazon Prime comedy series will feature 10 Irish comedians facing off to see who can last the longest without laughing.
The Amazon Prime comedy show LOL: Last One Laughing has just announced their cast list for their upcoming Ireland-based season.
In the show, comedian faces off against comedian, trying to get each other to laugh. The first to break face loses. Last one to not laugh, or last the least, wins.
Hosted by the award-winning presenter Graham Norton, it will be Amazon Prime's first original Irish series. LOL as a franchise, however, is an adaptation of the Japanese series Documental by Hitoshi Matsumoto and has since taken off in other countries like Mexico, France, and Australia, to name a few.
Bringing their top-notch acts to the upcoming 6-episode release of LOL: Last One Laughing are well-known comedians like Martin Angolo, Aisling Bea, Catherine Bohart, Jason Byrne, Tony Cantwell, Emma Doran, Amy Huberman, David McSavage, Deirdre O'Kane, and Paul Tylak.
On set, they'll compete for a cash prize of €50,000 to be donated to the winner's choice of a charity.

The Irish edition of the comedy format will be filmed entirely within Ireland. A recent announcement also teases a few celebrity cameos.
When the news first broke, Norton expressed excitement at being the first host for the Irish Original series.
"I'm so proud of our comedy culture and it's wonderful to have a platform to showcase Irish talent to a global audience. I can't wait to see what our comedy masterminds do to get the laughter going."
Produced by Kite Entertainment, a Dublin-based production company, and directed by Danny Tate, the series' filming was set to begin this spring in Dublin. It's expected to have a worldwide release next year.
