Guns N' Roses' Slash starts BerserkerGang horror production company
Collaborating with horror genre experts like The Breach director Rodrigo Gudiño and Hangar 18 Media producer Pasha Patriki, and more, Slash's BerserkerGang is guaranteed to live up to its slogan: 'Films Forged in Fury"
Slash, the guitarist of Glastonbury festival headlining band Guns N' Roses, has announced that he is starting a new horror production company.
The announcement came through Variety, detailing the project.
“I’ve always been a huge horror fan," Slash, also known as Saul Hudson, said. "Especially going back to the days when horror movies actually scared the hell out of you. I want to get into the heart of the producing business so I can try and make movies that I’d like to see.”
No stranger to working in film, he's worked on the 2022 Horror film The Breach with Raven Banner and Hangar 18 Media.
The Breach was directed by filmmaking founder of Rue Morgue magazine, Rodrigo Gudiño, and produced by Hangar 18 Media producer, Pasha Patriki. Both of them will also be involved in Slash's new production company, BerserkerGang.
Also working in collaboration with the guitarist are the genre professionals Michael Paszt, James Fler, and Andrew T. Hunt of Raven Banner.
As for the direction BerserkerGang will take, the British-American musician assures that “the aim of BerserkerGang will be quality over quantity."
“We will be selectively choosing projects that we collectively feel best represent the brand.”
Michael Paszt adds that the goal of BerserkerGang is to develop projects with passionate filmmakers and writers who love the genre. With the enthusiastic and dramatic slogan "Films Forged in Fury," gifted to eager horror fans by Gudiño, it is an "indication of where we plan on venturing."
More details about the company and its first project are expected to be announced at the Cannes Film Festival in May, which is set a month before Guns N' Roses begin their 2023 world tour.
