Colin Farrell wins Golden Globe for The Penguin
Emilia Pérez and The Brutalist are the big winners of this year's ceremony.
Colin Farrell has won the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or a Motion Picture Made for Television at the Golden Globes for his role in The Penguin.
It marks Farrell’s third Golden Globe win following his awards for The Banshees of Inisherin and In Bruges.
With this win, Farrell beat fellow Irish actor Andrew Scott, who was nominated in the same category for his role in Ripley. During his acceptance speech, Farrell recalled their first collaboration, saying: “Andrew, you were in my first film, 25 or 30 years ago.
“You can’t even find it on Betamax. It doesn’t exist. We go back that far.”
The actor also joked that he had “no one to thank for on this one. I did it all by myself. Just a raw, pared-away performance.”
Congrats on your win, Colin Farrell!
