New trailer released for Pressure, featuring Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser, Kerry Condon and more

A new trailer for the upcoming film Pressure, set to premiere on September 9, has been released.

Directed by Anthony Maras, Pressure features BAFTA winner Dublin actor Andrew Scott as Britain's chief meteorological officer James Stagg, Oscar-winning actor Brendan Fraser as Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D.Eisenhower, and Tipperary-born actress Kerry Condon as Captain Kay Summersby.

Also starring is Golden Globe and Emmy award-winning actor Damian Lewis as Bernard Montgomery, and American actor Chris Messina as Irvin P. Krick.

Pressure is said to be a thrilling World War II film that showcases the three-day run-up to D-Day.

"Britain's chief meteorological officer James Stagg is called upon to deliver the most consequential forecast in history, locking him into a tense standoff with the entire Allied leadership," wrote STUDIOCANAL.

"The wrong conditions could devastate the largest ever seaborne invasion, while any delay risks German intelligence catching on. With only his trusted aide Captain Kay Summersby to confide in, and haunted by a catastrophic D-Day rehearsal, the final decision rests with Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower.

"With only hours to go, the fate of the war and the lives of millions hang in the balance."

The film was co-written by Anthony Maras and David Haig, who wrote the play the movie is based on.
