All Together Now: 5 Artists To Chill To
Here's our top picks for the ultimate 'chill vibes' over the All Together Now weekend...
Mura Masa - (Sunday)

Chilling in the name of is the business at hand when it comes to Guernsey-born electronic producer and songwriter Alex Crossan - aka Mura Masa. Combining cutting-edge grooves with a pop sensibility, his music is both accessible and horizon-expanding. A 2017 self-titled debut was nominated for two Grammys, with Masa the first artist to be put forward both as musician and "creative director" for the same LP.
Nils Frahm - Sunday

The classical and contemporary collide with Hamburg's Nils Frahm. Classically-trained, he has applied his mastery of the piano to music that veers from soundtrack to banging house. In concert, the effect is especially thrilling as Frahm loves to juxtapose - throwing down a thwacking beat one moment, a stripped-down melody the next. You'll stagger away wide-eyed and breathless. Be there.
Saint Sister - Sunday
Saint Sister are Morgan Macintyre and Gemma Doherty. The duo blend electronic, Celtic folk and finely calibrated pop - a singular mix described as 'atmosfolk'. Whatever its name, their music has rightly caused a stir, with sell-out tours across Ireland, and the Continent and support slots with The National and Arcade Fire's Will Butler. A (stunning) debut LP is expected in the autumn.
Talos - Sunday
Deservedly nominated for the Choice Music Prize for this year's best Irish album, the debut from Cork city's Eoin French, aka Talos, is a slow-motion roller-coast ride. Comparisons with Bon Iver, Cocteau Twins and Jeff Buckley make a degree of sense - but the tumultuous, colour-saturated sounds mostly flow straight from the dreamiest recesses of French's imagination. One to be savoured.
David Kitt - Sunday

After a hugely well-received foray into electronica with his New Jackson project, ace troubadour David Kitt returned assuredly to the "day job" with this year's acclaimed Yous, a chill-out acoustic collection that saw his two personas - troubadour and sleepy-eyed beat-master - in perfect harmony. The man has it.
