Paul Weller to share exlcusive live performance called 'Mid-Sömmer Musik'
The performance will be available tomorrow (November 12).
Paul Weller has announced a very special performance calle “‘Mid-Sömmer Musik’ - A Paul Weller Live Special”
The special was recorded last August, during the peak of the UK summer heatwave, at Weller's Black Barn Studios in Surrey. Available globally on November 12th (8pm GMT), the hour-long programme of beautifully shot footage of Paul and his band will feature the cream of the crop from the recent No 1 album “On Sunset” and 2018’s “True Meanings, “Mid-Sömmer Musik” also includes brand new never-before-heard tracks. The new songs will feature on Paul’s next album which he started writing and recording during lockdown.
With two UK tours postponed due to the pandemic, Paul was understandably getting itchy feet, eager to get back on the road. “I wanted to play the new stuff because I’m so into it” Paul said. “It’s so sad we couldn’t play anything from On Sunset this year, I was really looking forward to playing that live”. So Paul rounded up his full band (Steve Cradock, Andy Crofts, Steve Pilgrim, Ben Gordelier and Tom Van Heel) to put together this exclusive show to keep the live fires alive.
Standard tickets will be available for £15 and ticket + art print bundles available for £22.50 (including a limited edition A2 ‘Mid-Sommer Musik’ lithograph).
