Major new production of Enda Walsh's Disco Pigs announced to mark 30th anniversary
The production will running from October 31 to November 14.
A new staging of Enda Walsh's Disco Pigs is set to take place at The Everyman in Cork, marking the play's 30th anniversary. This production is part of the EVERYMAN MADE in-house programme.
Disco Pigs premiered in 1996, launching the careers of writer Enda Walsh, Cillian Murphy, and Eileen Walsh. For this production, Tony award winner Enda Walsh will direct his own play for the first time. The cast has yet to be announced.
The play explores the intense bond between two Cork teenagers, known as Pig and Runt, who share a birthday and a language, as they confront the challenges of impending adulthood.
The Everyman's 2026 season announcement also includes Pool (No Water) featuring Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch, performed in an empty swimming pool beneath Cork’s Metropole Hotel during the Cork Midsummer Festival. The House Must Win is a musical taking part in the programme, by Mick Flannery, which will star Tommy Tiernan.
