Judi Dench Seized Her 81st Birthday by Getting a Tattoo

For her 81st birthday Dench and her daughter Finty Williams skipped afternoon tea in exchange for the tattoo parlour.
On the inside of her wrist in small block capitals is now imprinted Carpe Diem which means 'seize the day' in Latin. Speaking to Surrey Life Magazine, Dench explained why she got this particular phrase tattooed; "That's my motto: 'Seize the day.' Finty gave it to me for my 81st birthday - she's wonderful with surprises!"

Proving you're never too old to get a tattoo, Dame Judi Dench is someone we admittedly underestimated. Bow down to Dame Judi.
