<I>Vikings</i> new season shoot starts in Wicklow

The History Channel's period drama series returns to our shores to film its latest season.

Vikings has returned to County Wicklow to film 20 episodes for its fifth season.

The historical drama has a cast packed with Irish talent with around 400 Irish people taking part right across the production. Recently Red Rock star also Darren Cahill joined the cast of the IFTA wining show.

Inspired by the sagas of an Icelandic Viking hero, Vikings has received critical acclaim and draws huge audiences in both Ireland and America.
